What is inner voice

We all have an inner voice, a still small sensation that speak to us from deep within when we are about to do the wrong thing or not to do something we should do.

At times this gentle voice also tries to prepare you for some future event, or worn you to be cautious so as to avoid some potential trouble. You can’t hear the voice with your ears, but rather with your minds. In fact it is almost a feeling, and not a voice at all, but it is called a voice because it gives you a quick clear message, so quick that it is almost a flicker. Sometimes causing you to brush it aside. Yet it is so clear that when you ignore it, you can always remember that you heard it, and that you ignored it, and you always regret it

The primary source of wisdom lies within us. This source of divinity can provide guidance for our specific wants and needs, and it can help us to follow our bliss. Listening to your inner voice will assist us to:

* Go within and find your sense of purpose                                                                                                   * Consciously choose to express that purpose                                                                                             * Work with resistance and pain as they come up and release them, let the universe    *              direct and assist you                                                                                                                                             * Reap the rewords of joyful and peaceful life.

Are you eager to live on an abundant, inspired and fulfilling life? Then listening to your inner voice will help you. The inner voice of truth is continually asking to be heard, guiding you to open doors you did not know even exist.

Why you hesitate to listen to your inner voice

You sometimes hesitate to listen to your inner voice due to critical inner voice. The critical inner voice refers to well integrated pattern of destructive thought towards yourself and others. The “voice” that make this internalized dialogue are the root of much of maladaptive behavior.

The Shadow

This critical inner voice is known as “shadow” – it is the most critical obstacles to happiness we face.

The shadow exists within you. It is part of you and yet you spend most of your life running away from it.. But far from being scary, your dark side holds the promise of a better, more fulfilling life. Your shadow makes itself known everyday. It is the reason you get furious over a friend showing up 10 minutes late, yell at people and sabotage your own success at the worst possible time. Until you are able to embrace your dualistic nature, you will continue to hurt yourself and those closest to you and fall short of your potential.

Discover the gifts of your shadow to pierce the veil of your unclaimed self to release you from the past and propel you on a journey to wholeness. No longer living half life, you will be capable of achieving your dreams and reclaim the happiness that is your birthright.

When your inner voice speaks to you

Your inner voice is  “you”, the part of you that knows you so well that it can tenderly alert you in various situations that come up in your life and in essence help you to make wise choices – in other words it is about trusting yourself

By learning to listen to your inner voice you come to know and trust yourself. You begin to learn what is and isn’t right for your life and you trust because you realize you have perfect answers for problems that face you.

Following are some reasons why your inner voice may speak to you gently or nag you:

*  To save you aggravation                                                                                                                                     *  To save your creative energy by protecting you from certain people                                             *  To restore creative energy by urging you to get physically fit.

But sometimes your inner voice may speak to you in a forceful way seeming to set off an alarm system warning you. It does this when you may be about to make a major mistake that will affect the rest of your life, or when your physical body is in danger.

Your inner voice guides you

Your inner voice does more than help you to avoid aggravation, wasted energy or danger. Throughout your life, your inner voice struggles to be heard – over the noisy din of your own thoughts; the pressure put upon you by personal responsibilities, families and friends; and the confusion of the many choices that surround you. It ties to give you a guidance or direction in finding the path that you should walk, so you can best utilize your talent and fulfill the purpose for which you were born.

It is your inner voice that quietly nags you or even badgers you if you have stepped off your path and not living up to your potential. No matter what the reason – whether out of laziness, fear, weakness or circumstance – if you are off ” the path”, or are not being true to your purposes in life, your inner voice will not leave you to peace. The inner voice is therefore the guardian of the “self”.

The Psychology of Intimidation

Intimidation

Perfection and apathy both can be caused by fear, feelings of shame and control. We live in an imperfect world and most people, I would suggest, are affected by this to some extent. We are however meant to live in freedom and grace

In this article I try to indicate some traps that affect us as humans.

Bullying

At some points in their lives, nearly everyone experiences being bullied; by brothers, sisters, neighbours, adults and school mates. Some are easily intimidated and can show up in your body language. Many people dismis it as a normal part of one’s development, but it isn’t. It could work against you.

Bullying can devastate your life. In some extreme it can even lead to self harming, suicide or murder.

The secret is to control your reactions so that the fact that you have been taken aback or overhelmed does not show.

There are several case histories of people whose lives were on the brink of ruin but who fought back against all odds to beat their bullies.
For some the bullying went on for years, and for others less frequently. In each case, the bullying took a different form, from gang bullying, verbal bullying, or even the latest form; cyber and text bullying.

The only thing these people have in common is the determination and and courage to stand up to their tormentors.

Cultivating the inner peace

Keep your cool all times. The way the inner peace is illuminated to tending one’s inner landscape. The lives of outstanding figures such as the Bhuddah, Walt Whitman and Gandhi are used to connect the ideal of inner peace with how real people cultivate peace with their everyday lives. Peacefulness as dynamic, selective and egoless is shown through the constructive act of choosing different ways of life, such as having a smaller family or a more modern career.

Deliberate intimidation tactics

You should be aware that there are intimidations that are deliberate. Some people who are well versed in human nature such as lawyers, doctors and insurance salesmen often employ subtle intimidation techniques aimed to subdue.

For example, one method of intimidation used in large offices is to have huge polished desk and a leather chair with high back. The moment a person enters such an office and is shown to a lower placed seat, the person in the high chair is instantly elevated to the position of power and authority as compared to the one on the visitor’s chair. This deliberately makes you less likely to oppose or question anything you are told. An unsmiling face with constant gaze is part of the ploy.

Sales intimidation

Likewise, in a bid to make people pay huge sums of money, certain institutions or even individuals employ what is known as sales intimidation. It starts with the building or gate entrance which is often large and grand with a huge door that diminishes you as you humbly enter the building. The reception is always well lit and immaculate. The entire setup is formal and scary to the point that a person ends up speaking very politely as they ask for services. This is very common in hotels, insurance companies and even schools.
